Manage and share flight videos from the cloud.
After each recording the reacro system automatically uploads the video to the cloud. You can then organize videos into courses, share them with students via links, and track who has watched what.
How Videos Get Uploaded
Videos upload automatically after you stop recording. The upload happens directly from the device to cloud storage — no manual steps needed.
- Automatic: Upload starts as soon as recording stops.
- Reliable: If the upload fails (e.g. poor connectivity), the device retries automatically up to 10 times over ~5 minutes.
- Safe: The local file is only deleted after a successful upload. No data is lost if something goes wrong.
- Pilot name: If a pilot name is set in the app before recording, it is saved with the video.
- Retention: Cloud videos are automatically deleted after 1 month. Download or share videos before then. Videos stored on the device’s SD card are not affected.
Opening the Video Manager
- Open the reacro app and connect to your device.
- Tap the settings gear icon to open Camera Settings.
- Tap Manage Videos.
This opens the video manager in your browser. You will see all uploaded videos organized by date.
Note: The “Manage Videos” link is tied to your browser. If you copy the URL from your browser’s address bar and send it to someone else, they will not be able to access it.
Understanding the Layout
The video manager shows your videos grouped by date folders. Each folder represents one day of flying, named by date (e.g. 20260210).
Date folders can optionally be organized into courses — named groups that span a date range (e.g. “Winter Course, Feb 10–14”).
- Folders that fall within a course’s date range automatically appear under that course.
- Folders outside any course date range appear under “Other Folders” at the bottom.
Each video row shows the filename, duration, pilot name, file size, and view count.
Creating a Course
- Click + New Course at the top.
- Enter a name, start date, and end date.
- Click Create.
All date folders within that date range will automatically appear under the course. Course date ranges cannot overlap — each day belongs to at most one course.
Creating a Date Folder
Date folders are created automatically when a video is uploaded. You can also create them manually — for example, to share a folder with students before the first flight of the day.
- Click + New Folder at the top.
- Pick a date.
- Click Create.
Moving Folders Between Courses
You can override the automatic date-range assignment by moving a folder manually.
- Click the move button (⇄) next to the date folder.
- Select a course from the dropdown, or choose “None” to unassign it.
- Click Move.
A folder that has been manually moved will stay in its assigned course even if its date falls within a different course’s range.
Sharing Videos with Students
You can share at three levels:
| What you share | What the student sees |
|---|---|
| A course | All date folders and videos in the course |
| A date folder | All videos from that day |
| A single video | Just that one video with a player |
To share:
- Click the share button (🔗︎) next to a course, date folder, or video.
- A link is copied to your clipboard.
- Send the link to your students (e.g. via WhatsApp, email).
Students can open the link in any browser — no app or account needed.
Resharing
Students who receive a share link for a course or date folder can reshare individual items with others, but only at a narrower scope:
- A course link lets students reshare individual dates or files.
- A date folder link lets students reshare individual files.
- A single file link cannot be reshared further.
Share links expire when your management session expires (1 week). Reshared links inherit the same expiration — they cannot extend access beyond the original.
Playing Videos
Click on a video filename to play it. The video opens in an overlay player. Press the X button or your browser’s back button to close it.
The last played video is highlighted in the list so you can easily find your place.
Deleting Videos
- Click the delete button (🗑︎) next to a video.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deleted videos are soft-deleted — they are hidden from all views and share links stop working for them. The actual file is cleaned up after 30 days.
Deleting Folders and Courses
- Deleting a folder also soft-deletes all videos inside it.
- Deleting a course removes only the course grouping. The date folders and their videos remain and appear under “Other Folders.”
Revoking Access
There is no explicit “revoke link” button. Instead, you revoke access by deleting the shared content:
- Delete a video to revoke access to that file.
- Delete a date folder to revoke access to all its videos.
- Delete a course to break course-scoped share links (but date-scoped links within it still work until those folders are also deleted).
Troubleshooting
- “Manage Videos” button shows an error — Make sure uploads are configured on your device. The device needs a working connection to the signal server.
- Video does not appear after recording — The upload may still be in progress. Wait a minute and refresh the page. If the device has no internet, the video will upload once connectivity is restored (as long as the device stays on).
- Share link does not work for the recipient — The link may have expired (links last 1 week). Generate a new one from the video manager.
- Cannot find a video — Check whether it was deleted. Deleted videos are hidden from all views.
